When can I reliably perform the tests?

You must respect the window period, which is the time from the unprotected sex contact you want to monitor until the tests become fully reliable.

The window periods recommended by Open House are 21 days for Syphilis and 28 days for the HIV test you will take.

What if I need medical treatment or advice?

After testing positive for STIs, you can purchase a remote consultation to receive treatment for some STIs by e-prescription or, if you require an injected antibiotic, you can come to our physical clinics in Madrid or Valencia.

If you have a remote consultation before doing your STI tests, there is no additional cost for prescribing treatment.
